My purpose in writing this book was to give an overview of the practice of yoga as it really is. That is to say, I meant to straighten a few things out. When I emerged from a few decades of hermiting and giving my all to the practice of yoga, I began to realize that the world in general had a very limited view of yoga, and only thought of its physical application as an approach to fitness. It is much more than that.
